Therapeutic Coaching provides space for problem solving and thinking through potential solutions, and it usually will involve some exploration of Emotional Intelligence –feelings and thought processes which differs to the normal concept of executive coaching. This experience is and service is bespoke to your business and personal needs. Coaching should absolutely not be a one-size-fits-all approach, especially when it comes to gender.
Clinical Coaching can help individual’s male and females understand and appreciate each other, and even benefit from their differences. Understanding these differences intellectually is not enough. At The Executive Mind we help to point out these differences, as they surface, and guide understanding that differences are not intentional and that misunderstandings are merely the result of expectations that are not realistic can make a huge difference in business or social relationships. More importantly, when men seek to understand and appreciate that which is feminine, they come to a deeper understanding of their self. And when women seek to understand that which is masculine in men, they come to appreciate and understand more about their own masculinity.
I’ve seen that coaching is far more effective when it involves the deeper, inner work of change. And in my experience, women respond to this inner exploration and work more openly. Men, on the other hand, tend to want more tactical, on-the-surface, quick-success suggestions and approaches. There’s a huge difference between what men and women want and will tolerate when it comes to the transformative change process.
In our culture, for so many years, Men are generally more reluctant than women to seek psychological help, perhaps because of negative preconceptions about therapy. There are still expectations for men not to be weak, to hide emotions or be “warriors” and to be invulnerable. It’s also a premium to have connective, authentic experiences with others, because we’re constantly hiding behind our “games” and personality armour.
‘The Executive Mind’ offers men and women Clinical Emotional Well being Coaching; it is recognised to help you overcome the negative cultural expectations of what it means to be a man or a woman in a business setting. The Executive Mind offers, Emotional Well being Services, we specialise in working with the unique issues and needs of business people.
My story, I started assisting more men in my practice in the recent years to provide emotional support in working through life’s tough issues, and to create the kinds of lives that they really want for themselves and for their families. As a female in my past, experience I truly wanted to deeply relate and connect to the males in my life, and now I fulfil this ambition using my professional skills and understanding as a relationship and trauma psychotherapist, helping me to further appreciate the support I offer to heal, address personal or work related dilemmas.
Most of my executive clients recognise their stress, feeling deflated in ambition, low sexual desires, compulsive habits, their health is deteriorating – illnesses. My clients ignored and soldiered on; believing something will change without little effort until they took responsibility and made decisions towards eliminating problems.
I know how it’s tough to open up and talk about personal matters with others – wife/husbands, friends, and family. I understand how it is to “struggle in silence,” be closed to others, including women, and not have the skills or resources needed to support yourself. I have a passion and a real interest in working with executive issues, and want to help you feel better, happier, at peace and more successful in your life. I have years of expertise and experience working with men’s issues, as a psychotherapist and can assure you that you’re not alone in what you’re dealing with.
